We're excited to share that C2MI has added and featured the Angstrom Engineering JJ Cluster as part of its growing quantum infrastructure!
The JJ Cluster is an advanced Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) platform developed to support the fabrication of Josephson junctions, a critical technology used in superconducting quantum computing.
Recently featured on C2MI's website, the system reflects the continued collaboration between C2MI and Angstrom Engineering to advance quantum manufacturing capabilities in Canada.
Designed for high-precision quantum device fabrication, the JJ Cluster is a fully automated 200 mm wafer platform compatible with both silicon and sapphire substrates. Operating within an ultra-high-vacuum environment, the system enables wafers to move through multiple processing stages while maintaining the controlled conditions needed for high-quality results.
By bringing key fabrication processes together in a single platform, the JJ Cluster helps improve process consistency and material quality for superconducting quantum applications.
We're proud to support C2MI and contribute to the continued growth of Canada's quantum ecosystem by providing advanced manufacturing solutions that help accelerate quantum research and innovation.
