Metal halide perovskites have emerged as a promising material for thin film solar devices, and now have some of their first real-world tests done via research done at IMEC in Belgium, and their partners.

Evaluated over 2 years of outdoor, real-world experiments, the devices showed promising reliability, retaining '78 percent power retention'.
