We have designed, built, and tested a new Josephson Junction fabrication platform at our facility in Ontario, Canada. Our partners in Brazil are counting on us to deliver them a system that performs, bringing their quantum research goals quickly forward.
Now what? Weighing 4.5 metric tons and taking up over 23 cubic meters, it’s an instrument that needs to perform with precision for years to come, so needs to be handled with care. Our logistics team goes to work packing the system up, wrapping it in padding, adding a moisture-barrier, and containing it in a wooden crate, along with the various supporting equipment. This is all loaded onto a flatbed trailer, and begins it’s journey to Miami airport, where it boards it’s 1st class flight to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
