General Labourer

Pay Range$17.60 – $24.00

We are seeking a talented and motivated General Labourer to be a vital part of our Production team. This is full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Day shift Monday to Friday with some overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

  • Build small mechanical/electrical assemblies, following detailed instructions and guidelines.
  • Assist with polishing /washing of parts and components associated with Angstrom Engineering systems and machines
  • Assist with the Load/Unload and packaging of materials and equipment
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery on the manufacturing floor
  • Clean and organize the manufacturing shop floor area
    • This includes tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming and garbage/recycling removal
    • Shovel, salt and maintain the walkway.
  • General assistance in other areas of the shop, as required

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to understand and follow basic operator instructions and complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive tasks are required.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge and safe operation of hand and power tools are assets.
  • Must demonstrate basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be physically fit and have the ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Great work ethic with a positive attitude and desire to work as a team.
  • Work in a manner that garners respect from your peers and makes others around you better.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, as required.
