Machine Tool Builder

We are seeking a talented and motivated Machine Builder to be a vital part of our Mechanical Assembly team. If you have a passion for machine assembly, we want to hear from you! This is full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Day shift Monday to Friday with some overtime. Occasional <10% international travel may be required. Pay Range: $25.00 - $40.00/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble all aspects of machine tools or systems from drawings and schematics.
  • Organize, plan and execute all phases of the machine build.
  • Integrate electrical and mechanical components with electricians.
  • Run pneumatic, gas and water circuits as per schematics.
  • Clean and prepare components for use in vacuum chambers and systems.
  • Preventive maintenance and repairs of building and associated equipment.
  • Work with team members to continuously improve methods of building and wiring process equipment, with the goals being enhanced functionality and reduced cost.

 

QUALIFICATIONS OVERVIEW:
  • Skilled trade such as Machine Tool Builder, Tool and Die Maker, Millwright or a post-secondary education in mechanical technology.
  • Machine building and integrating experience or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic functions, devices and fittings is an asset.
  • Familiar with machine shop equipment and best practices.
  • Resourceful with a proven ability to complete tasks within predetermined deadlines.
  • Great work ethic with a positive attitude and desire to work as a team.
  • Work in a manner that garners respect from your peers and makes others around you better.
  • Electrical background, panel building, wiring, service and troubleshooting skills an asset.

Pay Range
The listed pay range represents the expected compensation for this position. Individual pay will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, applicable experience, and relevant education and training.
