Technical Sales Team Member

We are seeking an energetic and passionate individual to support our customers’ needs for consumables, deposition materials, spare parts, and pre-coated substrates. You will gain intimate knowledge of the equipment used to push the boundaries at the forefront of nanotechnology.

This full-time role is an office position at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario with flexible work hours. The successful candidate will become an essential member of our team and will report to the Technical Sales Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Sales and Relationship Building
  • Build and present quotations to our customers to support the growth of the following product lines: consumables, deposition materials, spare parts, and pre-coated substrates
  • Process and manage orders; coordinate with Logistics team to get orders sent out in a timely manner
  • Support quoting and order process improvement initiatives to focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in building and maintaining a webstore for catalogue-type products
  • Create and manage customer and industry relationships
  • Represent and promote Angstrom Engineering to our customers
  • Measure and provide feedback on customer satisfaction
Supply Chain and Inventory
  • Identify improvements to our supply chain
  • Develop and improve vendor relationships
  • Provide guidance on inventory levels
Marketing
  • Learn from our customers and share this information internally to help improve Angstrom’s products and services
  • Monitor market competition and look for new opportunities
Technical Knowledge
  • Develop an understanding of thin film nanotechnology processes and applications
  • Become an expert on Angstrom’s products and services
  • Stay current on customer applications and industry developments
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Angstrom Engineering

Qualifications

Education
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in business, science, or engineering
Skills
  • Driven to help grow our business
  • Ability to work with customers to understand and help solve their challenges
  • Ability to build relationships with vendors/supply chain
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sales and/or customer service experience will be considered a strong asset
  • Experience working with Woo Commerce web stores is an asset
  • Experience with CRM and ERP software is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel macros is an asset
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude is an asset
