PLC Programmer
We are seeking a talented and motivated PLC programmer to be a vital part of our Electrical Engineering team. If you have a passion for programming, we want to hear from you!
This is a full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. The day shift is Monday to Friday, with some overtime. Responsible for all aspects of programming for Angstrom Engineering® systems including machine start-up and testing
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
What Makes You A Great Fit

Strong knowledge of PLC programming, including ladder logic, function blocks and structured text

Servo programming, integration and tuning experience

Familiar with EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, RS232 and other communication platforms

Understanding of code versioning

Ability to read, follow and understand electrical schematics

Resourceful and the ability to work and grow independently

Able to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
Specific Responsibilities & Expectations

Ability to translate customer needs into software requirements and code
-
Develop and maintain the Angstrom Engineering Software Products

Develop and program effective, logical and reusable PLC code
-
Configure and generate Angstrom’s software package
-
Integrate and verify all operational aspects of system are to specification

Support the test and process team in configuring and debugging the software

Suggest modifications or changes to standards and procedures for continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary degree in software/electrical engineering or equivalent.
