Our partners at the University of Victoria have developed a cost-effective, flexible perovskite solar cell using a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate. This breakthrough offers a cheaper alternative to traditional substrates. The team carefully selected deposition methods compatible with PET’s thermal limits, achieving a fully printable perovskite solar cell with a power conversion efficiency of 17.6%. This innovation opens doors for practical applications and further research into more stable perovskite materials for enhanced performance and durability.
