Software Process Specialist

Help develop Angstrom Engineering’s® Aeres® platform to its full potential. Leverage your understanding of automation, PLC, database, frontend, and backend PC programming techniques to create new and exciting features for all our customers to use.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Specific Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Work with material scientists to translate high-level concepts into finished solutions.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of PC and PLC software.
  • Develop new software tools to aid in rapid deployment of Angstrom equipment.
  • Supporting a multi-disciplined team to drive projects to completion
  • Testing functionality and features to improve the overall functionality of Angstrom’s tool.
  • Actively participate in various initiatives to enhance team dynamics and knowledge base. This could include presenting demos, problem-solving sessions, creating and delivering department training to improve overall knowledge and skill set in this subject matter.

  • Hands on experience with equipment manufacturing
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities, both in writing and verbally, able to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of C# or Java application development
  • Understanding of code versioning using GIT
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • PLC Programming experience
  • Ability to self-motivate.
  • Proven time management and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical and process engineering skills.

Qualifications

Education
  • Advanced degree (B.Sc, B.Eng., M.A.Sc, PhD) specializing in Nanotechnology, Engineering, or Computer Science
Qualifications
  • Experience with thin film deposition processes and systems (PVD, CVD)
