General Shop Labourer

As a member of our Production Team, you will play a key role at Angstrom Engineering® working on our shop floor, and on our assemblies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

  • Build repeat assemblies following detailed instructions and guidelines.
  • Identify and report any issues or discrepancies in the assembly process.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Assist with washing of parts and components associated with Angstrom Engineering. systems and machines.
  • Assist with Load/Unload and packaging of materials and equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery on the manufacturing floor.
  • Clean and organize the manufacturing shop floor area. This includes tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming and garbage/recycling removal.
  • Shovel, salt and maintain walkways.
  • General assistance in other areas of the shop, as required.

Qualifications

Education
  • Highschool Diploma or equivilant
Soft Skills
  • Must have the ability to understand/follow basic operator instructions and complete all
    assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Great work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to work as a team.
  • Work in a manner that garners respect from your peers and makes others around you
    better. Actively share workload responsibilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, as required
Hard Skills
  • Must be physically fit and have the ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Must be well organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive tasks is required.
