Electrical Designer
We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Designer to be a vital part of our Electrical Engineering team. If you have a passion for designing, we want to hear from you!
This is full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Day shift Monday to Friday with some overtime. Responsible for all aspects of programming for Angstrom Engineering systems including machine start up and testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
What Makes You A Great Fit
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Resourceful with a proven ability to complete tasks on time and budget
- Ability to work and grow independently
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
Specific Responsibilities & Expectations
- Electrical design utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
- Designing circuits, integration of supplier equipment, balancing loads, sizing wire, and calculating FLA.
- Applying Canadian Electrical Code, NEC and EN 60204 CE standards to the electrical designs.
- Purchase electrical hardware, interface with suppliers to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions and sort through options to procure required parts.
- Support the assembly team in solving electrical issues during the wiring, debugging, and installation of the machine.
- Suggest modifications or changes to standards and procedures for continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
