Accounts Payable Specialist

Angstrom Engineering® is on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Specialist to help the Finance team. This 6 month full-time contract role is an office position on site at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Specific Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the accounts payable practices including policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.

  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.

  • Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers, research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues, file all accounts payable correspondence.

  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

  • Support the company’s employee travel program.

  • Contribute to the office administration – food ordering, meeting room preparation as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Must have a knowledge of accounts payable along with general accounting procedures

  • Sage 50 Accounting software experience would be beneficial.

  • Very strong working knowledge of Excel.
